Library
For patrons of the Doc Library:
The procedure for checking out books from the Doc Library is based on the honor system. If you are a current volunteer and/or board member, you can check out any book on the shelves in the Doc Office. Each book has a corresponding card. When you check out a book, write your name and the date (or use the date stamp, if you feel like it - there's one near the computers) on the card and store it on the shelf next to the other extra note cards. Just to have a backup record, also e-mail doc.librarian@gmail.com with your name, the date, and the title of the book. There are not going to be hard and fast due dates, but we do ask that you borrow within reasonable limits, and allow a recall system if another volunteer would like to borrow the book.
Note that some of the books are a bit dilapidated. If you do want to check out a book that is in poor condition, please take good care of it, or read it in the building and return it promptly.
In order to check out books, you will have to find a way into the Doc Office, but as a general rule you can expect certain ubiquitous board members to be in the Doc Office most late afternoons/evenings, and they can let you in.
